This past week we had a great message preached by this guy – Chilly Chilton he preached about the life of Moses.

He has been on a series of “Motion” and how God has created us to move, its been a really good series. Get the free podcast on iTunes.

Anyways, at the end of our services we are given 5 questions, regarding the message just spoken, by our pastor to discuss and talk amongst each other as a body.

One of the questions that was asked this week, that has really challenged me to be different is this:

Do you have a heart for the lost, if not how can God transplant a heart for the lost into you?

Not exactly the way my pastor worded the question, but you get the gist.

After reading that I had to really ponder, two things arose.

1. I dont have a heart for the lost.

2 I have a heart for video games, sports, fantasy football, tv & movies.

So as a result of these two conclusions I have determined to catharsis myself, or purge myself that I have listed in #2. Its been pretty hard, so many times I have wanted to just sit down and watch a movie. Play some video games, or go lose myself of reality in a movie. Now the kicker?

Once fantasy football season arrives, I mean football season arrives. I am gonna be so tempted to want to join a league. But this makes me accountable, I am not joining a league this year… (To be honest I had already been mock drafting for this year) [pathetic i know ]

Its been harder than I thought especially my conversation with people with sports being out as a topic, its been a rough transition, especially at work. I had to catch myself to stop talking about the signings/trades/moves made in the NBA/Pistons.

I need to talk about the trades/moves/signings God has made this day/week/year/season with them more. And to everyone else I come to contact with…

Peace… need more cleansing…

I have been recently listening to lots of MPR and am currently watching the CNN report on the election that has happened in Iran Hossein Mousavi lost the election, while Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the election.

There are crazy pictures of these people who feel forsaken because their vote didnt come out to anything. With the things that I have heard it seems as if Mr. Mousavi was projected to win. But he didnt, the people feel as if the election was tampered and the wrong person won.

As a result riots both peaceful and violent have broken out throughout the country mainly in the city of Tehran.

And now CNN is reporting that North Korea is threatening to blow up Hawaii with their Nukes… scary!

With both these news clips that only signify little of what is going on to the world. I come to certainty that God is bigger than us, bigger than just being in the United States, that he is in leaders of Iran and North Korea. God is bigger than us and my eyes have been open to this more with these world events.

Suddenly, there is more to do. Whether its praying for God’s will in the country of Iran, the safety of its people. Or the change of heart in the leader of North Korea and the protection of Hawaii. Or even as I recently learned the sex trafficking that happens all around us in the world even here in the US.

Yeah it was quite the day here in Michigan. It feels like alot of things were happening around here today.

Am I wrong to think that God provided people with funds to get through the day with this accident?

Hmmm…

Then the second event of the day was a casting call here in Michigan for the TV show “the Bachelor”. Now I dont watch that show or anything but excited because to see something like this happening in Michigan. Heres the link: Bachelor

The Lord’s “Stimulus” Plan

I am not political at all, probably will never be. But I have been reading up on current events and how the Pres is trying to fix this economy of ours.

But I read last night of God’s plan to bring this economy, state, world back from the shambles it is. His plan will do better than just repair a marred economic state.

Read with me here in the minor prophet @joel verses 12-27 (Although I would like to copy and paste all the verses you probably wont read it.)

But the verses that really stands out:

²⁵ “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—
the great locust and the young locust,
the other locusts and the locust swarm —
my great army that I sent among you.

²⁶ You will have plenty to eat, until you are full,
and you will praise the name of the LORD your God,
who has worked wonders for you;
never again will my people be shamed.

Basically God will wipe away all our past mistakes and forge on ahead and start us on a clean slate. He will give us everything we need.

Now I am not an expert but isnt that what the government and the Pres is trying to do, repair the mistakes of the past debts while trying to fix the current economic situation? God can do it all in one swift motion. Boom.

So let’s pray, fast, weep and mourn like it says in v.12 and so on for God’s mercy for this nation that we live in.

Marrowed this Monday

What an awesome day today.

Met with a ton of cool people.

Met with TJ first, we headed off to McD’s after we both had gotten off of work. We chilled, relaxed and chatted with each other about what God is doing in our lives and what was going on in our lives.

(I am absolutely grateful for my friend TJ hit up his blog)

Then I saw my friend Brendan’s truck in frront of the church and we talked.

Then I met Dan, he has recently been coming to REAL Church, we had some dinner at Q’Dobas which has become my favorite Mexican joint (although tonights chicken quesadillas sucked) then we headed out to Starbucks and we studied some, chatted some.

I am really grateful for being able to hang out with that guy who is going all out to try and finish school @ CCS. (College of Creative Studies)

Then ended the night hanging with Schmitt and his church group from Kensington Church. Watched the movie “Taken”

Met some of his friends from Kensington Church.

Now I am at S-Bux on 13 MI and Woodward. Gonna read the word and hear God amongst the conversations here at Sbux at 130 AM.

3. Is it better to be spread thin or focused on one area regarding relationships?
